I have had Fuji ditigal cameras for years. I wanted one not only with a high megapixel but also a long zoom. This one met all of my requirments and I am pleased with it even though it is a little heavier than I would have liked. I like the fact that it will use both the xD card along with the SD card. The one drawback is that is takes 4 AA batteries. All in all, it is a good camera at a decent price.Digital camera Review: Good camera. . .

It isn't an SLR, but it is as close as you will get for this price. Lots of features, but good on-screen menus and "every-day" functionality for the photographer that ISN'T a professional. Although, even my semi-pro photographer father was very impressed and expected it to be much more expensive than it was.
