An alternative to removing the Forerunner's wrist-strap and keeping the unit bike-mounted is getting another device for mounting the Garmin WITH the wrist-strap. Bike-mounted HRM watches use a simple rubber donut that goes around the handlebar, to which the watch is strapped. I've use the donut from my Nike watch and this works well with the Forerunner when road biking.Digital camera Review: Bike Bracket: size limitations

Not much to review here with a simple bike bracket; it holds the Garmin 301 very securely when mounted to your bike. The Forerunner can be wore on your waist like a watch. Before you spend good money on a bike mount, ask yourself what advantage does it offer you to take your Forerunner off from your wrist and attach it to your bike handle bar.
