Digital camera reviews of GE 24775 Quantum HDTV AntennaDigital camera Review: ALL INDOOR ANTENNAS DON'T WORK Summary: 2 Stars
The Quantum HDTV antenna worked some time but the signal wood come and go the and lose the signal often. The tower is only less than 5 miles away in Oveto florida and i'm in Winter Park it seems this signal doesn't penatrate walls or can be blocked by trees ect. I went to Best Buy and talked to the sales person He tried all the indoor antennas they have and he lives in Oveto Florida where the tower is and none of them could hold a signal i finaly got an outdoor antenna an "Antenna Direct Clear stream C4" good for 65 miles it works well i get 93% steady it even worked well inside without a signal booster $60 to $120 search for sales
Digital camera Review: Addendum to birthday gift Summary: 5 Stars
My Mom asked me to recommend a flat-screen so she can be ready for the change to digital next year. She doesn't subscribe to cable or satellite, so needed a good antenna for her new Sony 23-inch Bravia. This one fit the bill and she reports an excellent picture on her favorite channels, plus now she receives a few more channels. Happy birthday, Mom!
Digital camera Review: Bad Performer Summary: 1 Stars
I'm wondering if I got a defective unit after reading the other reviews of this antenna. I'm using old-fashioned "rabbit ears" on my HDTV tuner (Terk TV-1). Wanted something with a lower profile and this appeared to fit the bill. Hooked it up, plugged it in and got less that half the HDTV channels I was getting with my old antenna. Seems to work slightly better when it's unplugged! Got better reception when it was placed in the window, but that defeats the "low profile" aspect. I still get twice the stations with my old rabbit ears at less than half the price.
Digital camera Review: Bad buy Summary: 1 Stars
This is the worst antenna ever. I have an LG HDTV in my bedroom with no cable or satellite connection and live in the middle of Los Angeles. I used to use some old rabbit ears that I borrowed from a 13-inch analog T.V. They worked great, but I did have to move them at times when changing channels. I bought the GE for it's compact design and thinking I'd get better reception as promised - with no movement or adjusting. This antenna gets no reception. I have to move it every time I change the channel and several times afterward since it tends to lose the signal every few minutes. I'm not talking a little adjusting either, I have to try every possible position as far as the cords will let me. It's never sitting in the same place. If I hadn't gotten rid of my little 13-inch, I'd still be using those rabbit ears - they worked much better. I've just about given up watching TV in my bedroom. I don't recommend this product at all and am now looking for another antenna.GE 24775 Quantum Indoor HDTV Antenna
Digital camera Review: Compared to RCA ANT-1500 (passive) Summary: 1 Stars
I had a couple of RCA ANT-1500, passive (non-powered) antennas. I took them to a friends in order to watch a football game that wasn't on cable. I could not easily replace them with the RCA unit, so I purchased this antenna. Yuck. Not even close. These are going back and I'm ordering the ant1500's. And yes, the cords are really short too.
