I have cable TV service without HD. When I bought a HDTV, I wanted to watch shows in high definition so bought the GE 24775 Quantum Indoor HDTV Antenna. After running a setup scan from my HD televison, I am able to receive all my local stations and local PBS stations. I get superb images, color and sound. I live in a suburb of Los Angeles, California approximately 17 miles from the TV towers. After a few days, I discovered that I had the antenna upside down, so I correctd it with no chages in performance. It is fairly small in size compared to other antennas I've seen, but, it is a great performer. what a wonderful design.Digital camera Review: Great While It Lasted (Which Wasn't Long)

The GE 24775 Quantum is a nice looking and easy to use antenna. It picked up all the Washington DC channels (analog & digital). Beware however, if you live in an area that periodically has low relative humidity. I purchased 2 of them, and both have called it quits after only a few months of service. I never figured out what killed the first one, but the second one stopped working after experiencing a static shock when I attempted to reposition the antenna for better reception. It is little better than a stylish paper weight at this point. Also be aware that the blue power indicator light is really quite bright, and may disturb some people if used with a TV in the bedroom.Digital camera Review: Junk

We bought this Amplified Quantum Antenna from Target almost 5 months ago and the amplified part no longer works. The antenna now only works similarly to rabbit ears antenna, but it no longer makes a difference if it is plugged in or not and we have lost most of our basic channels (NBC, ABC, WB, CBS). All that works are PBS channels and even then they only SOMETIMES work. Make sure to keep a receipt because you will need it to use the 1 yr warranty.
