I purchased this phone for my mother because she frequently didn't hang the phone up after use. This phone has ONE button to turn off and turn on. No more searching for the off button that is usually very small. This large button has solved the problem. Mom enjoys all the larger buttons.
The flashing light when the phone rings is great. The volume control button increasing the volume so I can hear her and she can hear me.
I think it is a good product for the money.

Good phone, but the ringer volume is rather low. So if you are hard of hearing, it really requires you to look at phone's flashing lights. Rest of it is very useful.Digital camera Review: GE Cordless

This is a large heavy phone. Thought it would be good for hearing deficit, but only makes it louder, not clear. My old phone works better. Ring is soft. On the plus side, caller ID easy to read, and large buttons easy to use.Digital camera Review: GE Cordless Phone

I ordered this phone because I like the style and it seems to be getting difficult to find. In the past I've bought this style of phone a couple of times but always the cheaper one at around $25. I was a bit hesitant to spend so much more money but boy am I glad I did! Out of the box I could feel the quality difference. It's just got a better feel and it's better built. This phone rests on the cradle so much better. The old phone was loose on the cradle and sometimes didn't charge but this one sits on it like it was made to fit. Then when it rings the cradle lights up a red bar across the bottom. It's really cool!
I am very pleased with my purchase.
