Digital camera reviews of GPX iLive ISPK2806 iPod Speakers with Remote Control & Dock for iPod, Mini, Shuffle, and Nano (1G)Digital camera Review: GPX iLive is a Good Deal Summary: 4 Stars
I settled on this speaker / docking sytem because of the price and the reviews I read. Obviously, it is not going to have sound like the Bose $400 unit. But, I am definitely satisfied. The volume really surprised me. It gets plenty loud, with little distortion. I use a 30 GB full-size Ipod with it, so I can't comment on the connector adapters for the nanos, shuffles, etc. The blue light on the clear plastic is also a nice touch. Great product for the money
Digital camera Review: Good for the Price Summary: 4 Stars
I picked this up locally for about the same price. We were looking for something just to play music for entertainment purposes. It does the job. It offers nice background music. The remote works great the unit fits my nano perfectly. We are happy with the sound, for what we wanted it for. We like the fact we can move it to other places and we wanted it to work off a power source rather than a battery so it would charge the nano.
Reason for 4 not 5 stars... When we placed it near our other entertainment equipment there was more interference (static) and we could not adjust the volume manually or with the remote. We moved it away from ther other entertainment equipment and it worked fine. Not sure what that was all about. Also, when you turn the unit off, the i-pod stays on, but since it is plugged in to a power source it is charging.
GREAT BUY
Digital camera Review: Good product. Not too loud but good enough. Summary: 4 Stars
It is quite good but it does not sounds as the size suggests. Nevertheless it is a good product for a small room
Digital camera Review: Good speakers Summary: 4 Stars
I really like this speaker system because it doesn't take up much space. The sound is really good too.
Digital camera Review: Great Deal for less than $50 Summary: 4 Stars
I bought this speaker set-up so that I could listen to my iPod in the kitchen. It works just fine. No, it doesn't have the sound of an expensive unit, but for $49 bucks I have no complaints. I can put my iPod Mini on shuffle, and enjoy the tunes while I'm cooking dinner or eating breakfast. If you want home theatre sound, buy something else. But if you just want to hear your music without paying a lot of money, you'll be very pleased with this unit. I am.
