This binocular is great!! Although the magnification is little overkill compared to its aperture. It is great for terrestrial viewing. View of Moon is fabulous. I tried to spot Orion Nebula. I could spot it but I couldn't see any clouds. Actually I hardly see the nebula cloud with my 4" telescope also. Tripod is a must in order to use this binocular. It is compact. Maybe 15x70 is a better buy for more wide field viewing of night sky. You really don't need 20x to view deep sky objects. Rather you need low magnification (wide view) and bigger aperture. I picked up these binoculars refurbished for $50. What a great deal! They have replaced my not-so-old Bushells. I am very happy with the feel of them as well as the depth and clarity. Definitely need a tripod adapter when trying to view the heavens. That's next on my list!
