This was a bargain for $50. Watch is simply to use and the upload to your computer is even simpler with the USB ANT stick. The HR monitor is very comfortable. I use it for both running and mtn biking. Still trying to get the right tension for the strap but virtually no movement when running but some slight movement when mtn biking since I am manuevering around a lot. Only downside is that memory storage on the watch is minimal but those who need more can simply buy a higher level Garmin model. For me, this simple Forerunner 50 worked out great.Digital camera Review: Great!!

Beware -even though it is written that you can progam in HR zones - in fact there is only one zone that you can set. So this monitor is usless if you want to see or you want a record of which HR zones you have have trained in. Because of this I sent mine back. Ended up getting a Sports Instrument 9 (which is sold all over the place for cheap because it is not made anymore) which does have the five zones. Doesn't download to a computer though, so you have to write the data down if you want to keep it.Digital camera Review: Heartrate Monitor Only

I bought this item because I was impressed with the Garmin Connect program that it interfaces with. The device wirelessly syncs with your computer to upload your workout information.
I was under the assumption that this device also uploads GPS position and tracking information. This model DOES NOT do so. It only allows you to track your workout time, heart rate and pace (with the optional foot pod). That may be useful to some, but was not for me. Ultimately, I returned to device and bought a Forerunner 301. This, I believe is the first model that allows you to upload GPS information. It is bulkier, but just fine for biking and boating.

Hate it. (hate a pretty strong word for this review). I'd like it if it worked. It works only some times. Most the time it resets itself, or doesn't pick up the heart rate or cadence pod for the bike. just getting it started is a long combination of button pushing memory madness. It is not a simple heart rate monitor. Buy a better modle. This one is bad. I've even sent it back to have it repaired and it came back noted as, "in working condition". Since the "repair" it's even worse. i'm not even going to try and resale it. I'd feel that I'm selling something broken.
