Digital camera Review: Love it
Summary: 5 Stars

The Forerunner works great. I love knowing exactly how far I've run. I thought it might be too big but the size is fine. I usually forget it's there once I get going. It would be nice if it was rechargeable but for the price I can afford to buy batteries.

Digital camera Review: Love it!!
Summary: 5 Stars

I just started running about 7 months ago and this is one of the best purchases I have made. I feel like I have so much freedom to just run where ever I want and at the end of my run I know exactly how far I went, how long it took, how many calories were burned and it keeps track so I can compare runs and see if I am improving on time and distance. I think it is a must have for any runner/walker. I would definitely recommend this product.

Digital camera Review: MORE FUN ON THE RUN
Summary: 5 Stars

I have owned a Forerunner for almost a year and have loved it from the first run. I am so enthusiastic about the Forerunner, that I gave both my running adult children (21 y/o daughter, 30 y/o son) one for Christmas this year, and they both love it, as both have used mine during the past year. It is easy to use, and the face is just the right size so that the numbers are easy to read. I love the freedom that it provides, in that,I can run anywhere and have an accurate milage count, while being able to monitor my pace. It's great, after a run, to record my average pace, best pace, and calories burned, in addition to my overall time. Although I have not yet utilized the GPS route track to find my way back to the run starting place, it is good to know that it is available if I ever need it. The other features such as the history, coach, etc. are also great to have. Lastly, the cost of the Forerunner is very reasonable for a GPS, and won't break the budget. I deffinitely give this a "two running shoes up," and recommend it for anyone who runs, or walks.

Digital camera Review: Mine Broke in 80 Days.
Summary: 2 Stars

I bought the Garmin to train for a marathon. It was great at first-- being able to run without coming up with routes and getting extremely accurate pace information, etc.

BUT: After about 30 days, it started messing up occassionally. Example: I would run for 11 minutes, look down and it would say I'd run 2 miles (I usually run 9 minute miles). Or, I'd look down and realize it hadn't been recording me run for 5 or 6 minutes.

After that, I always had doubts about accuracy.

Then, it started struggling to find a signal. Every time I wanted to use it, I would have to relocate the signal (which takes 10 minutes, as opposed to the normal 1-2 minutes).

Then, it wouldn't turn off. I had to remove the batteries after use and put them back in whenever I would use it. Then after about 80 days (of heavy use, running 30-40 miles/week), it stopped working altogether.

Didn't even make it through 1 marathon training. Maybe mine was a fluke. I didn't call customers service. Maybe they'd have replaced it. Nonetheless, it was quite annoying.
