Digital camera reviews of Garmin Forerunner Quick Release KitDigital camera Review: Great for biking and running Summary: 5 Stars
I bought the 305 primarily for running, but use it for biking too. I bought two bike attachments so I can pop it onto either of my bikes easily. The wrist strap that comes with the bike attachment is more comfortable than the standard wrist strap. I did not buy the cadence attachment for the bike. The GPS gives bike speed in mph without it and I don't really care about my cadence. The 305 can be read quite easily while biking when it is on the bike attachment, even when the screen is split into four sections. I definitely recommend the bike attachment. It is better than having the device on your wrist while biking.
Digital camera Review: Great for tri-athletes Summary: 5 Stars
Great product and easy to switch your Garmin from a run to your bike in a matter of seconds.
Digital camera Review: Great idea for multisport users, but has a design flaw Summary: 3 Stars
I purchased the quick release kit for my Garmin 305. It is a really great idea for those interested in using it for multisport. I really like the idea of the velco strap, however I have small wrists so the strap makes a flap at the end from the extra band when closed. Not a big deal, but a little annoying. I purchased the quick release back in June 2010 and have used it for both running and biking. I used the quick release band for running and it works really well. However, on my bike, it has fallen off twice and once was during a race. It has happened both times when I went over a bump in the road. If the roads are not bumpy, I haven't had a problem. Great design by Garmin though, because the watch survived both falls off the bike!
I wouldn't recommend for biking, but works great to get easily on and off for running.
Digital camera Review: If I had only known Summary: 5 Stars
Great product, better than expected. I only wish someone (Garmin or Amazon)would have given a better description of what it does and how it works - I would have bought it a lot sooner, so here it goes. First you remove the original wristband that came with the Garmin. Attach the included clip to the bike hadlebars with the plastic ties and then you can easily attach and detach your garmin 305 to the clip, it just snaps in. If you want to use it for running, you snap it in the included velcro wristband. I haven't used it for running yet but I think the velcro wristband seems mmore comfortable than than the original rubber wristband anyway. No regrets.
Digital camera Review: It works great! Summary: 5 Stars
It does the work. It is a great way to change from bike to run with almost no effort.
