Digital camera reviews of Garmin GPSMAP 76Cx Handheld GPS

Digital camera Review: Great Unit
Summary: 5 Stars

This is a great step from my 12XL. I got this along with City Select North America 7. The standard 128M hold all of the states in my area (New England), but I still upgraded to the 512M memory and plan to upgrade to the 2G when it is readily available (has been released at this time, just cannot find one to buy). The maps are shown easily and the variety of controls is sufficient. I bought mine with a Garmin bike mount to put on my handlebar. Good so far. Glad I got it.

Digital camera Review: Great deal
Summary: 4 Stars

I am still working on the features. There's so many of them! This was such a great price. It's fairly easy to read in sunlight which was a big concern for me since it is mounted on my motorcycle. I would also have say its pretty durable since it went flying of my motorcycle and still worked fine.

My only complaint so far would be the instructions. More details of how the features work would be helpful.

Digital camera Review: Happy With Purchase
Summary: 4 Stars

Very good satellite reception, even in car or in fairly thick canopy... Takes a little playing with the functionality to get the hang of it... hoping will be great attribute in field work. Currently training in GIS Internet mapping with this product and it has thus far worked well.

Digital camera Review: I will never be lost again
Summary: 5 Stars

Great product. Takes some learning as it is not as intuitive as I would have liked, but the easy way is not always best.
I highly recommend this product.

Digital camera Review: Nice GPS
Summary: 4 Stars

Nice GPS. Good price. Having to pay extra, actually A LOT extra, for detailed maps of small areas from Garmin(not Amazon's fault) is a rip off. Welcome to the world of GPS. Other than that no complaints with the electronic component GPS itself. Most other GPS mfrs. charge extra for their maps also. Around $100 a whack for an unlock code to a small zone seems a bit steep. I guess if you've got the corner on the world market you can charge outrageous prices though. What good is a GPS device without Maps? So, gotta' have the maps...gotta' pay the $
