Digital camera Review: Good software, poor licensing

I had a Garmin Street Pilot 2720, then purchased a Etrex Legend HCx (and love both units). I had no problem installing the map update on the Street Pilot, very smooth and no problems. Then I discovered Garmin's crappy licensing policy that would not let me install on the Legend. I spent HOURS on the Garmin web site, Googling, and finally called Garmin customer support (another fun job). It turns out that I was going to have to spend a chunk of money to be able to support the Legend....fortunately I found that topo maps are available for free for the Garmin units and lost interest in trying to put City Navigator on the Legend.
As I said the City Navigator seems fairly good. I have only had one problem on a recent trip to L.A. where an freeway intersection was drawn incorrectly and the Street Pilot was trying to make us turn across a concrete median to enter the 101 freeway....quite a challenge with a 32' 5th wheel trailer in tow!
