I bought this unit based on it's reviews by a National Consumer Magazine. This unit is all that review said it was, and is easy to setup and use. The only problem I had was downloading the free map upgrade that came with it(My own fault)!
I have also used it to route to places I already new the route , and in some cases the Garmin route was quicker and shorter than my normal route; others the route was the same. The turn by turn feature is great especially in heavy traffic

I wanted to buy an upgrade to my navigon that stopped talked and started to have a mind of her own. THe nuvi screen is great, much easier to enter in addresses and find POI's in a hurry. The satellites are found quicker, and the traffic alerts seem to work so far. I haven't travelled into a big city in heavy traffic (boston) yet. Will check out bluetooth, but haven't gotten around to it yet. The mount on the windshield is also a great improvement over the navigon, adjustable and does not fall off the windshield! OPtions are good, and the unit is intuitive for a first time user.

This is a good package for the price. We've had a more of a problem with it getting "lost" than the one that came in our other car. My main problem is that, while it recognizes our phones, makes calls, and receives calls OK, and we can hear calls, it isn't picking up our voices, so the phone feature is fairly worthless. Haven't had a chance to check with Garmin on this, yet. Also, unlike our other one, it will not automatically recognize more than one registered phone. That is, if it is currently set up for my wife's phone but I take it on a drive without her phone, it will not "see" my phone, even though it is one of the phones registered. I have to go into settings and move from her phone to mine.
