It pretty much did all what was needed of it. I am just writing this review to say that the smaller size screen were more useful than the widescreen ones. You don't really need a wide screen in a GPS, if there were even smaller ones I would have got them. This way you can easily put it in the car, in pocket, on the windshield and it would not block the view. There is no point in paying the extra 50 dollars for a wide screen one.Digital camera Review: Easy Traveling

First exposure to using a GPS device. Made my sales trip a breeze. Took the stress out of finding the destinations. Once I got used to the jargon I was fine. I have resisted upgrading from the basic county map to using any sort of GPS navigator for quite awhile. After all, my map only cost me around $20 and it's fairly easy to use. However, I received the Garmin 205 as a gift and decided to give it a try- and now am wondering what took me so long to do so! The GPS navigator is easy to use, even for someone completely new to them. The controls are easily understandable and the navigator gives clear direction as to upcoming turns. For the most part, it recalculates routes quite well although I have confused it on at least one occasion. I have used the search function quite a bit and as long as I narrow the category down, it's fairly quick. However, without doing that, the search takes long enough that it's fairly useless to me. Overall, the Garmin nuvi 205 is a good basic GPS navigation system without any fancy bells and whistles.Digital camera Review: Excellent Basic Navigator

I purchased this GPS as a gift for a 78 year old friend of mine. This Garmin GPS 205 was extremely easy to set up and operate. The voice prompts are very helpful and make up for the small screen size. I highly recommend purchasing the optional "Bean Bag" dash mount. This makes it easier to transfer between cars. This is an excellent quality product from Garmin! I shopped around and looked at TomTom and several other GPS devices and this was by far the easiest GPS out there. And you can't beat the price vs features ration!
