Tried to receive my free map update from Garmin but the update procedure stopped at the last step. The web instructions were of little help and I had to call customer service. 30+ minute wait. Tried different times of the day for several days - always the same wait announced. Once connected the service was great and the update went smoothly. First I must point out that this is the first G.P.S. unit I've owned of any kind.
The Garmin nüvi 250 3.5-Inch Portable GPS Navigator (English/French Version) is a simple to use G.P.S. Navigation device that I've used several times so far since buying it and I'd recommend it as a starter unit to anyone interested in getting a G.P.S. or as a low cost alternative to one of the more expensive models if you are on a budget.
