Digital camera reviews of Garmin nüvi 250 3.5-Inch Portable GPS Navigator (English/French Version)Digital camera Review: Nice unit for the price Summary: 4 Stars
This is my second GPS, a replacement after my Magellian died. The Magellian lasted about two years.
Again I decided to purchase a entry level model becasue of price. The Garmin is a nice unit for the price. One reason why I decided on this unit was because it had maps of the US and Canada. It also was rated a best by in a leading consumer magazine.
The main feature that I like in this unit over my previous GPS is the navigation system. I was impressed on a recent trip in which I found myself in traffic congestion due to construction. Using the detour feature, the unit got me off of the interstate highway and onto country roads and around the traffic backup.
That being said, the Magellain had a more freindly user interface. I liked the Magellian user interface better.
However, the basic reason you purchase a GPS is for navigation. So I would recommend this unit as a good entry level navigation system.
Plus: Good Navigation, ability to update firmware and maps from Garmin web site.
Cons, user interface is not as nice as my first unit, but it does the job.
Digital camera Review: Nice! Summary: 5 Stars
We bought Garmin 250 GPS from Amazon for our family's first trip to Canada this summer. It turned out to be a huge help for us. It's very precise, and very easy to use.
Digital camera Review: Not bad Summary: 5 Stars
Have used it once traveling to Yellowstone. Functioning fine. I just wish they put the remaining mileage in the main display.
Digital camera Review: Nuvi 250 small, versatile and affordable Summary: 5 Stars
Every member of my family has a Garmin Nuvi 250 in their cars. I have the Nuvi 400 in my motorcycle and they work he same way. User frendly, does not require extensive manual readings to start using it. This compact version is affordable yet excellent for your daily needs.
Digital camera Review: Overall good Summary: 4 Stars
This is our first GPS, and I bought this one because I found a good deal on it. It makes driving in unfamiliar places much easier. It doesn't speak street names, but so far it hasn't been a problem as there has always been another person in the car to read the street name for the driver. It occasionally takes what I would consider a long time to acquire the satelite signal, but not really a major problem. This is certainly not top of the line, but it meets our needs for use while travelling away from home.
