Digital camera reviews of Garmin nüvi 265W/265WT 4.3-Inch Widescreen Bluetooth Portable GPS Navigator with Traffic

Digital camera Review: A great product for the price
Summary: 4 Stars

I am extremely satisfied with my new Garmin nüvi 265WT. For the past five years I have been using a Magellan 900 GPS system. Three of the big reasons why I purchased the Garmin nüvi 265WT were to gain Bluetooth, free integrated traffic and walking portability. All three of these features work extremely well.

There are only a few criticisms that I have. The verbal directions are spoken too quickly and sometimes difficult to understand. There is no sound indicator (on the Magellan, you have a choice of different chimes) to let you know that you're at the street corner you're supposed to turn at. The address menu requires way too many screen touches to get to the address you're looking for from the favorites file. If you're trying to find a particular point of interest, spelling the location can take several minutes for the system to find the entry you're looking for.

Compared to my old Magellan system, which was big and clunky, the Garman is a dream. The Garmin nüvi 265WT is compact and easy to read even in direct sunlight. I have already recommended this product to several of my friends.

Digital camera Review: A helpful little gadget
Summary: 5 Stars

I've had this device a couple of weeks and it was really put to the test yesterday.

I commute 30 miles to work through Pittsburgh traffic. The traffic feature on this device routed me around a closed bridge in a way that I didn't even know existed. Instead of being 1/2 hour or more late for work, I was 20 minutes early.

I have zero complaints about any of the excellent features. I predict you'll be as happy as I am should you purchase one.

Digital camera Review: A must for the directional challenged!

Loved it! My 22 year old son loves it even more. He can't get lost! Great product!

Digital camera Review: A must have for a car owner
Summary: 5 Stars

Even if you drive only on a city this is a must have for your card. It has save me a lot of times when I have to go to some place I don't know or I don't remember. If you travel to another country and rent a card this is a MUST HAVE. Works perfectly in Costa Rica and Italy, but it takes some time to contact satellites when you turn it off in one country and later turn it on on another continent. Also has some problems with the audio, sometimes it mutes without explanation. But the overall rating of this GPS is very good.

Digital camera Review: A very good GPS
Summary: 4 Stars

I am a sales person that spend a lot of my time in the car driving to various locations. I had an old Garmin GPS ( Street Pilot) with a remote. When this unit started getting old, I decided that I needed to change it. The only other GPS that I could find with a remote was the Tom Tom One series. I was very disappointed with that unot. The mapping software was inferior, as it would not even say the side of the street my destination would be. The unit itself would take forever to boot up and get a signal. (This started to happen after I did a software update from thier website). Anyway, some unlucky thief broke into my care and stole the Tom Tom. I knew that my next GPS would be a Garmin. What I like about this system is that it gets a signal very quick, the 4.3 inch screen makes it easy to look at, the traffic updates are OK (not alway accurate but what traffic service is?) and of course, it tells me which side of the street my destination is on. I wish I could use a zip code to look up an address and smetimes my fingers seem to be too big when typping in an address. I liked the Tom Tom choiced of voices for the GPS better than Garmins computer generated voice. All in all, this Garmin cost half of the price of my old Tom Tom so it is a better unit and a better value.
