It really "does everything" at a very reasonable price. The real time traffic is a bit off a hype in my opinion. It never really tells you anything you don't already know and it's not terribly accurate re the real traffic conditions ahead but as a nav system it's superb. It's terribly intuitive and instructions are really not necesesary at all. You just play with the unit and you can learn everything you need just by playing around for a minutwe or two. It's database in amazing and it gets you wherever you need effortlessly. I wish it had a compass in a corner when it was guiding you, but there are ways to figure out what direction you're traveling in even without this. And, as others have mentioned, the built-in speaker is definitely tinny sounding at 80% volume. Above that I'd say it's unuseable. But the Bluetooth features are top notch and the text to speech works perfectly. The product is great, but the FM traffic is not worth the effort. I guess it points out delays that they think might happen because of construction, but on a recent trip from FL to NJ on I-95 it failed to report traffic in Georga even though construction has been going on for years and it reported delays in the Baltimore area, but the blockage went from Baltimore to the foot of the bridge to NJ. We should have been off 95 for 40 miles on a side road if the traffic was up to date.Digital camera Review: Almost great

Ordered this on the evening of Dec. 21st and applied Amazon's 20 dol. coupon code using their super saving shipping. I never expected to receive it before the 29th with how heavy holiday deliveries always are but I rec'd. a bit of a Xmas miracle when it arrived at 2 pm Xmas eve.
You amaze me Amazon. Our govt. should be run this well.
As for the product itself I had plenty of time to play with it for a few days and even actually got to use it a few times, it's simple and direct and works great. What more can I say...for ninety nine dolls and a Xmas eve delivery as well as a product that works better than expected I'm extremely pleased with everything about this transaction.

After spending way too much time reading about every single GPS unit on the market and more particularly every Garmin, we decided on the 265WT. The wide screen made sense and we are so glad we chose it. We like the names of the streets spoken rather than just "turn right." The 265WT is very good at determining your current position as you slide into an exit ramp and ready to give you your next turn.
The zoom out feature is good for long trips and gives a feeling of terrain.
We just returned from Alaska (this unit has the state preloaded) and it was very good even when we were in small towns. It wasn't as happy if we went on established gravel roads and would take a bit of time to figure out this is the way we really WANTED to go (stop recalculating) and find the road. However, I think this will only be a problem for maps which aren't very complete. How often do you plan to drive the remote gravel roads of Alaska? The lower 48 should be just fine.
I would recommend the 265WT to anyone looking for a GPS unit. There are units with more bells and whistles, but I haven't felt there were any the 265WT was missing.
