I walked into Ritz camera yesterday looking for a lighting kit. After speaking to the sales person about what I wanted to shoot, he recommended I try the Puffer. As soon as I took a few portraits of my wife, I noticed a difference. I can get very close now without worrying about flash burn on the face. The difference is night and day. This is the best popup diffuser so far. I tried 4 at a photo shop and bought 3 previously from Amazon.
You should however have realistic expectations at what you can achieve.
More solid built than the others.

Used this as a temporary fix until I purchased an actual flash and diffuser for my Rebel XS.
Pros:
- Best (read: only) diffuser for pop-up flashes
- Solid constructionn albeit plastic
- Easy to use, assemble and understand
The cons aren't really cons against this product more against the pop-up flash itself. If you are trying to do serious lighting with a pop-up flash then you are going to fail from the get-go. This product does help with medium to longer range diffusion but it's shortcomings are because of the flash, there is not a lot to work with so it does the best it can.
