Digital camera Review: Flimsy, but works as advertised.
Summary: 4 Stars
Very easy to "assemble" and attach to the camera. Differences between shooting with and without it are very apparent.
Feels like you may break the mounting assembly when attaching the defuser at times, but just be aware of material strength when putting it together and you will be fine.
Well worth the money in the end.

Using this Diffuser for the first time at the Zoo at their exhibits behind glass prevented the reflection of the flash in the glass windows.
WONDERFUL product. Wish I had it when I first started visiting the Zoo,
I wish I would have had this 15 years ago. I have no idea of the number of botched photo's because of the flash reflection (or bounce) ...I would recommend it for anyone that takes portrait too...Wonderful !!

This was recommended to me by my local camera shop. I would give it a 5 star b/c it has made all my portrait pictures look better, but the quality of the build is flimsy & brittle. I wouldn't mind paying a little more for this as long as the brackets are made of metal or a sturdier material than what it's made of now. I'm on my 2nd one, the first one lasted me about 3 months with only weekend use. It's cheap so I dont mind buying..I might actually just make my own bracket. I read all the reviews before buying this and I knew it was expecting it to be a little flimsy. Well, with that in mind I very carefully and gently went to put it on my Canon 40D and what do you know, it snaps in two pieces on the first try!
Luckily, the white diffuser piece still kind of holds the unit in place so you can still make it work even thought the base is split in two. I wish I could have given this a better rating but the fact that I didn't even get a chance to use it before it broke just really keeps me from being able to do that.
I've contacted the seller to see if they will offer any replacement but my hopes are pretty low. We'll see...
Buyer beware.
