Digital camera reviews of Genius MousePen 8 x 6-Inch Graphic Tablet for Home and OfficeDigital camera Review: A HIT!!!! Summary: 5 Stars
Fellows....for $[...] bucks?...well you are getting no less than the perfect and most versatile tablet available in the market. It's simple to use, set up and most important, it does what is expected. Out of the box, took me no more than 5 minutes to set it up and right away I started to fool around with Artrage Deluxe 2.5 and so far..so GOOD.
I mean...it even comes with a wireless mouse....a great deal. Also it doesn't feel or look cheap at all.
Yep, I'm sure there are better or high end tablets like Wacom out there, nevertheless I'm not a pro...it's a hobbie for me and $[...] bucks sounds good for a hobbie....what do you think?
Cheers.
Digital camera Review: A decent tablet for the $ Summary: 4 Stars
I ordered this product for use with my Corel Draw graphics suite. I found it was ok too big overall for my taste and I also didn't need the wireless mouse that came with it, though it worked fine. The pen was receptive and the pen and tablet have programmable buttons, which is nice. However, I ended up returning the tablet and ordering a smaller Bamboo one, by Wacom. It is smaller, the pen is very receptive and the point a bit more precise. A little more $ but, in my case, worth it. The Genius MousePen tablet is a good option for someone who needs a decent unit for little expense.
Digital camera Review: A great tool! Summary: 5 Stars
I use my computer for both my fine art (I take pictures of wips and make adjustments on the computer - saves a lot of paint) and now for animation and was looking for a simple drawing stylus. This is really the perfect answer! I love that I can go from the mouse to stylus with no interruption and that the unit is compact enough to remain convenient on my desk and still has plenty of room for drawing. I've used it with several programs, most notably Photoshop, and am completely satisfied with the collaboration. I'm still getting used to the pressure levels and the interaction of the stylus as a mouse, but all in all I'm very happy with this graphic tablet.
Digital camera Review: A nice first graphic tablet Summary: 3 Stars
I ordinarily use a 6" X 8" Wacom Intuos 3 tablet for doing Photoshop editing. I wanted to get my daughters something similar so they could do computer art, but didn't want to buy them a $300 tablet.
The Genius tablet is a great first graphics tablet. It has about 80% of the usability of the Wacom, but at a fraction of the price. The pen and mouse feel a bit on the light side and the lack of buttons on the pad means that you need to move your hand to the keyboard quite a bit, but the pen is still a huge improvement over using a mouse for many activities.
This may also be a good way to find out if you want to use a tablet before stepping up to a Wacom tablet.
Digital camera Review: A pretty good product Summary: 3 Stars
The instructions on how to open the pen to load the battery was no where to be found.
Overall, it is a good product. It has been able to capture as I guide it around the tablet. I know many people like the smaller tablet. I like the big tablet size. It makes it feel like I am actually drawing on a piece of paper.
If you are wanting to try using a mouse pen combo this is a good place to start.
