Digital camera Review: Astronomy Laser works like Butta!!

I recieved this green laser as described by the seller, three days ahead of schedule (+,+). After 1 hour of total use over the day the laser did begin to loose power slightly...so it does go through batteries quickly (+,-). But that is to be expected. And these were the batteries provided, so I was not expecting them to last very long.
If you want maximun performance I suggest lithium batteries. The laser itself is great at pointing out stars! (I was able to star point with the manufacturers batteries as well). I don't know where some of the other reviewers are using theirs at, but if you go where there are no street lights you will certainly improve your view. I projected this laser over 2 miles and the laser point was only slightly degraded! I cannot say enough about this laser....Great Price, Great Quality, Fast Shipping! Just remember to use high quality batteries and the laser will out-perform any red laser and will stand up to any other green one (with the exception of the military grade 500mw)

Quite impressive when I shine it on trees several hundred yaads away. It needs to be very dark to follow the beam up to a star.
It really, from my standpoint, needs a button that locks on instead of requiring constant finger pressure to stay lit. While hold the button in the on position, the intensity of the light is not constant suggesting a less than perfect switch contact.

Overall, the laser is a 3-star product. I would have given it 4 stars, but I could only get about 2.9mW of total power with fresh batteries. The construction isn't too terrible, but the push-button switch is cheap and a bit finicky. Battery life is tolerable, though grossly overstated. The specs on this laser are exaggerated.
The packaging is stable and secure and was shipped quickly. Overall, a fun toy but probably not for anyone looking for a heavy use laser.
Oh, The LED flashlight/compass is a joke, it's a 20 cent chinese keychain.

I am serving in Iraq and this is a very useful tool to me!!! When i first saw this items reviews I was kinda worried to order it but i have used it and i love it. I must admit i am a soldier and i do play with it more than i use it for the reason i bought it. Overall i give this product a 2 thumbs up!!Digital camera Review: Excellent
