Digital camera reviews of Green Laser 5mw Pen Astronomy Grade for Military, Lecturers and Law EnforcementDigital camera Review: Great Value and Quality Summary: 5 Stars
This is a great product. The service was fast and the product arrived as promised. Batteries last a while, considering the power output. It is very bright and it is an excellent price for the value. I am very satisfied!
Digital camera Review: Great laser! Summary: 4 Stars
This laser is very good, very bright, even to point at stars and planets in urban areas.
I have used this item for nature walks, were I am able to point around a bird to show it, inside the woods during the day, as well as for astronomy.
A good thing is that you can keep the beam for few seconds and it will not get hot or get dimmer, the beam is constant and reliable.
I have compared it with a "black pen" version sold by the same company, which comes with a more sturdy case in metal, but the power of the beam is dimmer, to the point that you can barely see it in a dark night. I would say it is not recommneded for any outdoor activity, just for lectures.
BTW, the case of this item is kind of cardboard which is not my favorite, but hey, this is not about cases. The only reason I don't give a 5 star to this item is becasue I have tested other lasers with more impressive beams at night.
Digital camera Review: Love the brightness Summary: 4 Stars
Great bright green laser, much better than the traditional red ones. Only trouble is it seems to have a very brief "warm up" time. This warm up time goes away if you're using it often but if you've just gotten it out after more than a day of non-use it tends to be a little dim at first. Brightens up quick though.
Digital camera Review: Matrix-like flourescent green! Summary: 5 Stars
Talk about bright green, you almost have to squint to look at it when shining it on a surface. It's good for astronomy students - I've pointed it to the stars several times and it's been effective at illustrating them. You'll probably need a nickel metal hydride batteries or better because I've noticed the alkaline batteries wore down fairly quickly.
Digital camera Review: My Own Laser Light Show Summary: 5 Stars
Reflecting this off of crystal I have in my home, makes an awesome light show. I have fun as well shining this light into steam coming out of my vent from the dryer at night which makes it look like a real laser light show. It shoots a beam to the stars as well when it is very dark at night. If it is too cold at night it fogs the lens, so keep it warm to use. I enjoy this as well as my son which it was meant for him, but i kinda liked it to much. I do let him use it at times. *grin*
