Mine arrived quickly and was extremely bright - just like other reviews. The problem is that I have used it a total of about 2 hours and it is already dead. Not the batteries - the laser. If I could get another one that continually works (a few hundred hours) like this one did for the first 2 hours, I would definitely do so. It was great while it lasted. laser does a good job for pointing out objects on land but should not be used for astronomy. not bright enough for pointing out objects in the sky. the laser beam dims by at least 50% after power is held for more than 2 seconds. If you want a good astronomy laser then get a certified 5mw or higher laser for these laser are not certified and you may get a very under powered one like I did.
