Digital camera Review: A good investment

I had gone through two previous pairs of earbud-style headphones in attempts to replace my iPod earphones, which were broken. After reading multiple positive reviews on this product, I decided to try them out. Needless to say, I was quite impressed, considering the price. First of all, there is a very good balance of treble and bass; the treble is very hi-fi, and the bass is deep and strong. A major advantage of this product is that the in-ear design allows for the music to be listened to at significantly lower volumes, so it decreases the chances of damaging your eardrums, and it uses up less of the battery of your iPod or other personal audio device.
The EarJams also block out noise effectively, which is sort of a double-edged sword. The pro is that you don't have to listen to music as loudly as with conventional earphones, and they're perfect for blocking out ambient noise when you're in a plane, bus or train. However, this can be dangerous when walking outside, as you have to be wary of not having the volume so loud that you can't hear approaching vehicles.
It may also be uncomfortable for some at first to have a foreign object lodged in their ear canal, but after a while, it becomes comfortable (and almost unnoticeable) if the right-sized inserts are used.
An extra goodie that comes with these headphones is the zippered, nylon carrying case. It's great for storing the earbuds when not in use, and its got an interior zippered pouch to store the extra inserts. The case is good to protect the earbuds from getting scratched or damaged if you have a tendancy to store them in your pocket when not in use.
This is a very good buy for the price - similar products can cost much more, like Apple's own in-ear earphones, which cost around double the price, and the Sony Fontopias, which are also more expensive. The EarThumps are not on par with the Etymotics or Shures, but they're a good buy nonetheless.
