I've been using this charger for some time now, and it has working flawless since the time of purchase. I have been using it on my iPhone 3gs with the Navigon Mobile Navigator so that I may keep my phone charged while on long driving trips. I've used this charger with my iPhone 3G and now with my iPhone 4. Even though the description says "iPhone 1G" it works with all of them. I like this charger because the charging cable (connects to the iPhone on one end and has a usb on the other) and the car adapter are two pieces. Also the cable isn't coiled and it doesn't get caught in my car when I move my phone around. The length of the cable is great, too. Purchased one for me, one for my wife, and they both safely charge our iPhone 3GS's when we use them. The only thing I don't care for is how the included cable is more difficult to attach to the iPhone when compared to the traditional white iPod cable. I'm careful when I use it but I wonder it could damage the phone. Beyond that, it's a solid product and would recommend.Digital camera Review: Careful, This is an old model

This looks identical to the PowerJolt that works with the iPhone 3G, but it brings up the "Not compatible ... " message. Wait for Amazon to sell out it's old stock!
