On a long hike? Perhaps a long flight? Maybe you're on a long drive and don't have a charger in your car. With this product, don't worrry. Some triple A batteries (the first set was provided) give you up to an additional 14 hours of listening time (or 5-6 hours of viewing time), dep[endiong on which iPod you have.
Very simple to use (just plug it in to the power slot. Best of all, this one actually charges the iPod while it adds playtime from the batteries themselves.
I've tried several other battery backups, but none are as effective, none as small and light, and none give me the sort of psychic comfort (will I have enough juice for the ENTIRE flight?) that this little gizmo offers. And VERY reasonably priced.
