I really like the way that this case makes my ipod look, which of course isn't the main reason I bought it. As far as protection goes, I am mostly happy with this. the bottom is completely exposed, which is the one major downfall that this has. Fortunately that isn't too big of a deal to me. I had a silicone case for my old ipod, so I tried it on my new one and for some reason the control wheel barely worked at all, so I was happy to get a case with the wheel exposed. I also purchased back, wheel, and screen protectors just to make sure it stays in good condition. Overall, I am pretty satisfied with this case, and unlike other reviewers I am fully aware that this IS plastic and plastic will break if you drop it on a hard surface. Be careful with your $250+ electronics ;)
