While I did not expect perfect sound quality, I am extremely happy with how the iTalk has performed for me. I recently started taking voice lessons, and wanted an easy way to record myself singing while my teacher played the piano accompaniment. The iTalk is easy to use with my iPod nano, gives adequate sound for this purpose, and only cost me $20 used. The iTalk Pro works seamlessly with my 5th generation ipod. It doesn't use a lot of power. It records in WAV format so the file size is about 450mb for an hour of recording. Its easy to transfer recordings to iTunes. The only downside is that there is no recording level adjustment so it peaks out when you try to record music. The iTalk Pro is a good product. I like it's look and design. It blends seemlessly with my black ipod. It's small easy to attach and use. It can record with very high quality or low quality. I recommend using high gain when recording a lecture. I wish it had speakers to play back what was recorded. (I thought it did when I bought it). Overall, I'm happy with it, however I wish it cost a little less.
