Digital camera reviews of Griffin iTrip FM Transmitter for iPod mini; iPod classic 3G, 4G (White)

Digital camera Review: Buying my 3rd now
Summary: 5 Stars

I have always loved the iTrip and I'm buying my 3rd as I type this. The new one is out and costs $30-50 and this one works perfectly fine and is now CHEAP! This one connects to the top of your iPod and works with a mini as wel as 5th gen, so my husband and I both used it with our seperate iPods for at least 3+ years with any problems. Software is installed on your pod as a playlist and it works out of the box on 87.9. Lower frequency channels broadcast best in NY, less interference. I put it in the cup holder or seat next to me and its fine. LOVE IT!

Digital camera Review: Convenient AND reliable
Summary: 5 Stars

Seeing the variety of other ipod transmitter products out there, i chose this one because it was cheap, and there were no extra fancy digital displays with extra wires hanging, etc. It's just a simple plug-in unit. The compact design also makes it easy to just keep the iTrip plugged into your ipod without it getting in the way.
Another reason i decided to write this review is that this product is pretty reliable. My 2 year old son found this on my night stand and somehow it ended up in my laundry. It went through the washer and the dryer. I figured it'd be time to buy another one, but lo and behold, the thing still worked perfectly. I was shocked. This is a great product and you get can them super cheap here at Amazon.

Digital camera Review: Convenient, but not always reliable
Summary: 4 Stars

Using an iTrip is both simple and convenient. All you need is to plug it in, and tune to 87.9(FM radio). It is particularly nice because there is no cord, so you can move it around the room. Not only is it good for use in the car, but also with your own stereo. Instead of buying a $100 specialized iPod boom box, you can use the radio you already own by broadcasting your iPod's tunes on the radio with your iTrip. However, the sound isn't always perfect; when the volume is turned too loud, it tends to become fuzzy. Sometimes the fuzz sound is so loud that you can't hear the music, so it's not always reliable. But other than the occasional fuzzy sound, it's a must-have for any iPod owner.

Digital camera Review: Cool lil ipod accessory
Summary: 4 Stars

This thing works pretty well. The only time I've had a problem with it is when I have a crappy antenna on my radio. Thanks to amazon.com I got it for almost half the price anywhere else. It is totally worth it!

Digital camera Review: Coolest add on ever
Summary: 4 Stars

I don't get the bad reviews this little gem is getting. My iTrips work just fine. I'll admit that it's a little troublesome to have to shift frequencies when travelling but it's a small price to pay for a wireless conection to your car radio. 97.7 & 98.3 work for me in almost all locations. I find that stations between 93.1 & 98.9 work best for the strongest stereo signal.

It work in my friends rides as well unless the radio is piss poor then we have some trouble dialing it in. Usually shortening the antenna solves the problem.

I have both the old & new models and some of my favorite past times are,

Going into a stereo store, tuning all the receivers to my iTrip station and proceed to rock the aisle...

Finding a place of business that has a radio on and taking over the broadcast...

Pulling up next to some punks in a hot car and blast them with my music through their own radio...

I love the technology in this day and age!
