Digital camera Review: A cheap solution that works

I thought that I'd give this cable a try to connect my Windows 7 32-bit Netbook to my HP LaserJet 4L printer.
Installation instructions:(1) I powered up my Netbook (2) connected the centronics end of the connector to the printer (3) powered up the printer (4) plugged in the USB end of the cable to the Netbook. Windows detected the printer and installed the driver. The cable simply worked. Please note that the cable is short (~ 36"), so be sure to think through the installation and location of the printer for your application prior to placing your order. I did try connecting the cable to a USB hub without an AC adapter to gain additional length, but was unable to print when connected to the hub. After removing the hub, I was able to print again.

Converts a printer's 36-pin parallel port for use with a USB port. This cable adapter is only compatible with 36-pin parallel ports: be aware that there are multiple types of parallel ports, some with 25 pins, some with 36.
