I'm using a Macbook Pro to supply video to my TV (52 inch). Nothing fancy, but this cable saved me a about $40 worth of adapters. Maybe it's because I'm using a Macbook, but I didn't need to convert the video. Plug it in the laptop, then TV and away we go. I did have to adjust my video resolution slightly to fit the widescreen on my TV, but I think that's a limitation of the old big screen I have. I couldn't tell the difference. I ordered this cable to allow me to use my new Apple MacBook Pro on our HD TV. The low price concerned me somewhat, however I have never had a problem when I ordered thru Amazon.
The cable worked fine, and I am glad I bought the 25 foot length. This allowed me to discreetly hide the cable and hook up the Mac when I am at home.
This cable is priced at over $30 at our local electronics store.

This is a typical HDMI - DVI cable. It did the job I needed as I expected it too. Keep in mind, the longer the cable you get, the lower the quality is going to become. The quality of the picture is stunning even with what I am using it for. I have my computer hooked up to my TV with this, and it works very well. I recommend it to everybody.
