Bought this cable to connect my laptop and desktop computers to my HDTV for gaming and movies. It works perfectly, no problems at all. It is a very solid cable with great connections. I bought this to stream my Netflix to my TV from my computer. I spent a fortune for a smaller cord from a store (with a couple parts to it) to do the same thing. You can buy machines for $100 and over (like using the Wii)to do this. This was a $10 solution. It does not connect sound. I bought this cable back in December 2009 (11months ago) and to this day it is still working great. It hasn't shown any interference in my bedroom, hasn't come apart on the connectors, and it delivers a very good quality signal like it should to my LCD Sony Bravia tv. I use it for my pc to tv in either a 1024x768 resolution or 1280x720 resolution both at 60hertz. No problem so far. As an A/V Engineer, I knew that buying this cable for such a lot price is risky, and I was right. The DVI end would not plug into my computer because the outer metal form was slightly warped inward. After I carefully reshaped the thing, it plugged into my DVI port nicely and works great.
