I bought this calculator because I wanted a 12 digit display, comma separators for multiples of a thousand, and some standard financial functions, all in a form small enough to slip in a jacket pocket. I didn't find any other brand offering a calculator with these features and I thought that HP had a good reputation.
I was very dissappointed. The keys required a lot of pressure to work and I often had to redo calculations because I had keyed too fast and one or more keys hadn't registered.
Then after a year the screen stopped working properly. I was actually pleased about this because it meant that I could replace the calculator without feeling guilty!
I'm afraid I would not recommend it to anyone.

I just got this HP 10B2 financial calculator and within 5 minutes, I was calculating car loan payments while sitting in a truck dealer lot. It was nice to figure my own payments rather than mess with pushy salesman behind their desk and stuffy office. This is a very user friendly calculator and is nicely laid out. I can figure payments in less than 10-20 seconds, how much easier does it get? It comes with a soft cover case, I do wish it was a hard cover case though, with easy reference codes inside instead, but it doesn't come with that DARN. It's a nice calculator though, I like it enough to keep it over getting others with the hard case. I'd buy this again if needed, I recommend it highly!

I have the TI BAII also, so I can see merit in both calculators. The reason I purchased the HP is that I had a class that the professor taught with the HP instead of the TI.
