Digital camera reviews of HP 45 Black Ink Cartridge in Retail Packaging

Digital camera Review: Best for the printer and print quality
Summary: 5 Stars

The ink cartridges from Hewlett Packard last a long time. I print about 300 normal pages per month plus occasional (3 pages per month) greeting and business cards using the printers best setting. The cartridge will last over a year.

I will not use non-HP cartridges because of possible damage to my printer and poor print quality.

I am a certified (A+, MCP) PC technician.

Digital camera Review: Better than most
Summary: 4 Stars

This ink is good quality and lasts longer than the cartridges of the other brands I've used (Epson, Brother).

Love this product, it's just what I needed. Will order this again. Thanks for the fast shipping

Digital camera Review: Cartridges getting too expensive
Summary: 4 Stars

I have been using the 45 series cartridges since I bought my HP 970c printer in 1998! HP keeps jacking up the price of its cartridges. My next printer will probably be a all-in-one printer which produces more copies per $ cost of the cartridge. The Kodak ESP 9250 prints about 425 pages (B&W) for a $10 Kodak cartridge. The HP45 cartridge prints about 833 pages and costs about $30. Newer HP printers require even more costly cartridges per page printed. HP will kill the the goose that lays all of its golden eggs. The 970c originally cost over $300 and does only printing. Newer machines also do copying, faxing and scanning and cost much less.

Digital camera Review: Does the job well
Summary: 4 Stars

I've had the HP DeskJet 722C for over a year now. I have been happy with the performance of the black inkjet cartridge, and have only had to replace it twice. I don't have especially heavy print needs; I am a computer professional, however, and I estimate that I am perhaps an average printer user. The ink dries quickly, and I have not had the "smudge" complaint that I had heard from a friend (who told me AFTER I purchased this printer)
