While the general axiom is that HP sells discounted printers and jacks up the price on the resulting cartridges.This is not the case here, it seems; The cartridges are very cheap and 1 lasts a long time.
This is an important quality for a chem major who prints LOTS of lab reports but doesn't want to have to go to the store for ink constantly.
