With 18mL it should print out about 750 pages. I have no idea if the numbers I had quoted to me, though, are right. The problem is the little bar that appears whenever you print something hasn't even gone down 25% and I've had this cartridge for almost two months. Its definitely a real wallet saver for me since I'm a student in college and the nearest store selling cartridges is as far away as the nearest cartridge world, which I personally love but haven't gotten to see a lot of recently. Both would've required bus commutes, but the 74XL (which is noticeably sticks out farther than the regular 74 and weighs a whole lot more) has not failed me yet. For now I would encourage anyone lucky enough to have a printer that works with an 18mL cartridge like this to get one. And anyone in the market for a new printer should seriously consider checking to make sure there's isn't only compatible with a dinky 5mL one that will get you around 200 pages before going poof.Digital camera Review: Best Option For Your HP Printer!!

Definitely the best solution for your HP Printer. I am using them in my HP Officejet J6480 All-in-One Printer. The prices listed on Amazon are not too bad. I've seen the cartridges for as low as $23.00, but $31.00 is the MSRP. These cartridges contain roughly three times the ink of the HP 74 Black Inkjet Print Cartridge. The ink capacity for these cartridges is estimated by HP as approx 18 ml of ink versus 5 ml for the "normal" version. The HP printer, even used at home volume levels causes many fewer problems when the ink doesn't run out each month. The XL sizes for both black and color are the only way I will go.
