I've had this printer for 3 years now, more or less. I paid $199 for it with the starter toner. From day one I regarded this printer as disposable, but I never had a gripe about the print quality. I wouldn't call it fast printing by any stretch, but the quality was pretty darned good. I never came close to overworking it, and I got about a year out of the toner cartridges before they all started emptying around the same time. A complete set through HP was over $350, but some patient shopping around saved me a ton. It worked great with Windows XP, and not too much work on it was required to get it up and running in Vista and then 7. The only time I experienced a jams was occasionally during the cleaning cycle. Card stock fed thru fine - I just learned to use the main paper tray for it and not the single feeder. I'm only just now experiencing a failure, where anything in color tends to cause red spots from the magenta cartridge. The best support I have found so far is to replace the fusing sheet, but that is nearly as much as I paid for the printer. I'll keep running it until it is completely useless.
