Just got this and it prints great on the 28lb paper that I use for 2 sided printing. It can be set for 2 sided printing but I find it easier to leave settings on default. Will not print on 110# index paper (jams) but will print on the HP 75# cover stock one at a time. If you try to print several copies of a cover, ink will begin to smear. I use my old ink jet if I need more than 1 cover or if I need to print on 110# stock.Digital camera Review: HP 1600

I have had this printer for about 4 years and it's beautiful, prints beautiful, etc.. I paid $169.00 brand new from HP.... why would anyone pay $599.00 for this printer? At this point it's old technology even though it's a great printer.Digital camera Review: HP Makes the Best Printers Period.

I have owned an older HP Black and white printer for 15 years and it keeps going strong. The 1600 is also working great after over 2 years with great color and never jams. If you need quality prints, there is nothing better than the HP Color LaserJet Printer 1600. Best for the price and the best overall. I have A B&W LaserJet 4p and have owned it for over 20 years and it keeps working. I have had this printer for over a year without any problems. Very nice colar, fast, self adjusting.
