God help you if you need warranty repair from HP. The wait is 4 hours long. I like HP products, but that is not a way to treat customers. My printer broke 5 days before warranty expired. Bought this to replace a Dell 810 all-in-one printer that malfunctioned after less than two years. I would have given the product 5 stars except that the installation instructions for Windows XP are unclear and we encountered problems because we used the CD that came with the unit (CD was for Vista--that little devil of an operating system). Once we figured out that the CD was not necessary for Windows XP all went well. We had excellent technical support from HP in helping us resolve the initial problem. Bought this HP as the third desk side printer in our office when color printing is wanted. We have three of them now and so far, so good.

Yes, the paper will spill over the paper tray, so you have to be there to catch them as they emerge if you are doing a lot of copies. But it's a good buy for the money: faster than my last HP printer, and the print quality is great.Digital camera Review: Deskjet Color Printer

I had to have HP support help me get this guy installed. This may have been my own system's fault (my PC) but the software with its drivers failed to completely install, and after 2 attempts I finally just opted to call HP.. I got through relatively fast and the gentleman with whom I spoke was given "control" over my computer to do the installation himself.. it took us over an hour, but it was finally accomplished. I must say that I don't know what I would have done without this assistance.. certainly I would have sent the product back to Amazon.
In terms of performance, it out-does my earlier HP (which was twice as expensive 4 years ago).. relatively quiet, excellent resolution for "normal" prints.. and great color in terms of photos.
