Digital camera Review: Easy to set up for both PC and Mac

We needed a new printer to replace two Epson inkjet printers that had stopped working. After doing some research and on the advice of a relative we chose the 6980 due to the Mac/PC compatibility and the fact that we could hook it up to our network (an ethernet cable even comes with the printer).
I found the installation instructions easy, and had it hooked up to the PC in no time. We then installed the software on the Mac laptop and followed the instructions, and everything worked fine - we can now print from the laptop, no cables required! We haven't done any extensive printing, but so far, we're very happy with the Deskjet 6980.

I've had this printer for 3 years and it has NEVER failed on me.
First of all, I print mostly documents and this printer has fairly large black cartridge.
I've been using re-manufactured cartridges for this printer for a couple of years and they seem to work very well, so basically this printer has virtually no maintenance cost for my usage ($12 for a black cartridge, yields 1000 pages).
There are 4 laptops at my place, one for everyone in the family, and setting up the printer network couldn't be easier.
All I had to do was plugging the printer to my router, then Windows Vista automatically detects the network printer when I add a printer through Control Panels. Believe it or not, I never had to use the installation CD. Apparently Microsoft already embedded the drivers for HP printer in the OS, so setting up this printer from scratch took me less than 5 minutes tops.
About a year ago, I had to buy a multifunction printer unit for my business and I made a mistake for buying a Brother. I anticipated that the Brother multifunction would have same sort of deal for installation, I was wrong.
It actually required the installation CD, Windows could not detect the printer unit automatically.
Installation suit had lots of junk that I'd never use, but I had no other choice if I want to use the machine.
In conclusion, all I can say is "You did a really good job HP"

I had this Deskjet 6980 wireless printer up and running
wireless in short order. Works great with both my Toshiba
laptops with Windows Vista with sp1 installed.
I did use the installation disk.
I did have a problem on only one laptop with the install
disk, for some reason the laptop would not read the CD?
I transferred the CD to a usb flash drive and run the install
from it.

I now own two of these printers. I bought the one for home and another for the office. HP tech support was great help in getting the WiFi setup (even for a purchased refurb!) and once done, they have been solid. So great to be able to print from my laptop from anywhere in the house! And I think this printer comes at a very reasonable cost for a WiFi printer. Highly recommended!Digital camera Review: Excellent quality

HP printers provide excellent quality, especially compared to the Dell I use at home. For the person who couldn't find the catch tray, pull the center part of the paper tray forward and tip it back. Voila -- a catch tray.
