Digital camera reviews of HP Deskjet F4280 All-in-One Printer (CB656A)Digital camera Review: Awesome printer Summary: 5 Stars
This printer is terrific. I had no problem setting the printer up, getting the ink cartridges in, everything worked just the way it was supposed to if you just follow the directions. HP is great and I highly recommend this printer.
Digital camera Review: BEWARE 60 pages per ink cartridge (Black) Summary: 1 Stars
READ ABOUT REAL WORLD INK CONSUMPTION HERE !!!
I bought this brand new, just to print our Christmas letter. We kept it simple, with tiny pictures. It printed the equivalent of 60 pages of black type before running out of black ink, and a second HP60 black ink cartridge lasted another 60 pages, so the first was no mistake. That works out to $0.25 per page in black ink. Wow. The color was no better, as it is exhausted after printing the equivalent of (10) 8x10 photos, consuming about $1.50 in ink per 8x10.
Total ink cost for printing 80 copies of a Christmas letter, 1.5 pages of type, and 5 tiny 1 inch by 1.5 inch pictures, with half a page of empty space for a personal note... About $45, or $0.56 per copy, not including paper. I feel robbed, because I could easily have made copies for $0.10 each and included a couple of 4x6 prints for this price.
Now you know why you can buy this printer for little more than the cost of two ink cartridges. They are giving away the hardware to stick it to you with the ink. It's like buying a car that gets 2 mpg.
Digital camera Review: BUYER BEWARE: Very high operating costs Summary: 2 Stars
Bought this printer 10 days ago to replace my beloved old workhorse, the HP1310. The printer itself seems to be working just fine, but it turns out to be obscenely, outrageously expensive to operate since it goes through ink cartridges like mad. Compared to similar page output on my old HP printer, this one uses up a #60 cartridge in one-fourth the time. There's an "extra large" ink cartridge (the #60XL) that's supposed to give 3 times the output (for only 2.5 times the price) ... but I still feel totally ripped off. I'll spend more on ink cartridges in one month than I spent on the printer -- interesting way to bilk the unsuspecting buyer. If you only print a few pages a month, this printer might be an economical option -- but if you print more than 50 pages a week, GET SOMETHING ELSE.
Digital camera Review: Basic but sufficient Summary: 5 Stars
Ive had this printer a few months and no problems at all.
It is a basic printer/scanner that is very well layed out and compact. Hey, for about 50 bucks or under, you cant go wrong on this one.
Digital camera Review: Best Value Yet! Summary: 5 Stars
Seriously needed a new printer and a new scanner and did not own a copy machine. For my money, this was the best option available and I could not be happier with the results. Fast shipping and great product.
