Digital camera Review: Dad couldn't hook it up.

My father asked for a fax machine for his 59th birthday. I got him the all in one. I should have just gotten him a fax machine. He said it was too complicated and he still hasn't gotten it to work yet. I wish I could help him but he in in North Carolina and I am in California. The hotline was not helpful. His birthday gift was a bummer. I wish I could return it and just buy him a fax machine.
Simplicity is best.

This is a good device with useful features when it works properly; however, I had some minor problems with it (it stopped functioning from the buttons on the printer itself, and none of the solutions I found online worked) and called their support. They couldn't care less about my problem or whether or not I choose HP products in the future. Refused to escalate my call or my feedback, though I was very polite, etc.
I will never, ever, purchase an HP product again, and I will shout the same from the highest rooftop. Buyer beware.

I did not have any problems hooking up this printer EXCEPT that it doesn't actually come with the cable you need to connect it to your computer. It's a bit ridiculous if you ask me. How on earth can HP sell this product without the cord it needs to attach to your computer? This is definitely not obvious when you're buying the product. I am now off to Office Depot to find the appropriate cord. Shame on HP for not including a cord that would cost them a measly $1 and shame on Amazon for not clearly calling this out when you buy the product.Digital camera Review: Does a great job. I bought this unit to replace an HP PSC 2410 all-in-one, which was having random errors and print quality problems.
The top feeder on this unit is a nice improvement in copying and sending faxes. The scanner software installed and works without any problem on my Windows Vista system.
