Digital camera Review: Easy to install and use, with great results

I set this up on the wireless router in 10 minutes (including installing the software). It prints well and scans without a hitch wirelessly. The auto sheet feeder worked for me 20 pages at a clip. I first bought this printer in July 2006 - a little over 2 years now. It does everything we need, so, when it broke, and another was available, I bought it. (I have to say, it was very surprising that the first one broke in less than two-and-a-half years.)
The decision to replace our broken 6310 with a new 6310:
::: The bureaucratic process and cost of repairing the broken printer is mind bogglingly atrocious. Not to mention that we would have been without a printer/copier/fax/scanner for an undeterminably long time. (Thank you, Amazon, for delivering the new printer in only 2 days!)
::: I felt "lucky" to find the same printer because we have enough ink for this printer to make it worth replacing with the same model - this time, for only $99. (If the same ink cartridges would fit other models, I would have upgraded the printer.)
::: This printer is connected to our home network and is used by more than one person, so it was an advantage in that we did not have to go through another learning curve - as we likely would with another model.
This printer would get 5 stars because it does what HP promises, but since it broke after only 2.33 years, it gets only 3 stars (which is actually generous).

You can't ask for much more in a machine. It does it all. The photo card slots are just another plus. Set up was about as easy as it gets. With the Mac ease of plug & play, this was a snap to install. Excellent price for a multi-function machine. I purchased one for my office in City Hall, one for home and one for my parents. My not-so-computer-savvy parents were amazed with the ease of use and just love it! We scanned over 1000 pages the first week we had it in the office and love having all of our documents in space-friendly pdf. documents that we can drag and drop into the body of an e-mail for a big community project we're working on. It's been great for our attorney and project engineer and we were able to get rid of our old fax machine that rarely worked. This is a fine product and I'm glad we purchased it. Everyone in the office is impressed with how easy it was to install as our network printer. I confess, having a Mac was a bonus and we experienced none of the problems the PC users described.
