Digital camera reviews of HP Officejet 6310 All-in-One PrinterDigital camera Review: A good printer 4 in 1 Summary: 4 Stars
Most of the printers are duilt to give you problems after the warranty period os over. This new printer works fine even after the warranty period. The price is reasonable and the print quality is good. The only drawback is that the cartridges hold less ink then the previous printers.
Digital camera Review: A great all-in-one machine Summary: 5 Stars
I have had this machine for about three months now. It has performed flawlessly. All functions work quite well, it takes up much less space than its several predecessors and it was not that expensive, all things considered. And it looks good too. Recommended.
Digital camera Review: A great all-in-one solution for a home network Summary: 5 Stars
The HP Officejet 6310 works just the way I want it to. I plugged it into my router and the regular phone plug, ran the software, and voila! The only stutter along the way was the need to update the Vista driver that came with the product. The setup program detected this automatically and downloaded the update. I now have a printer shared between all three computers on the home network.
Contrary to other reviews, I found that the FAX feature worked beautifully, much easier than my previous setup. The latter first scanned the item to my computer, then faxed it using the computer. Now, I just load the pages into the automatic feeder, put in the phone number and hit the FAX NOW button. Simple. Receiving worked easily as well.
I haven't tried remote scanning yet, something I don't do often.
All things considered, I am pleased with the printer. It works well for a home network.
Digital camera Review: A suprising AIO with excellent bluetooth and network features Summary: 5 Stars
I think this printer in underrated.
It has many features that an occasional normal customer might never find out. Let me point out the various features i found out by accident.
I tend to use printers as network printers. So first connected to a network and gave it a fixed network IP. Was able to connect via XP and add as a TCP/IP printer and voila it worked. No need to add the junk on the disk.
Secondly, i noticed a small bluetooth port in front of the printer. Added a cheapo 3$ bluetooth device and voila it worked as a bluetooth printer. No need to add the junk from the disk yet. Used the small bluetooth device from eforcity ( i think any microsoft bluetooth protocol device should work, who needs to buy costly HP BT device). They should advertise the bluetooth capabilities!
Alas for scanning i had to install the disk and it went smooth. I don't know if already setting up everything helped or not.
BTW the best thing yet is the network way to even scan pages. If pointed as http://device_ip/ where device_ip = ip on the network. it allows to print and scan without installing any junk software.
I think they should advertise that other than the driver, the software is optional :)
BTW the printing is OK. Sufficient for most usage.
Both BlueTooth printing and Network printing/scanning features are awesome and the cheap price (at cost of the ink cartridge) i got it for made me give it 5 stars.
