I am now on my 3rd replacement machine, they have ALL either failed; ink leaks everywhere/software won't load/won't fax/has to print a stupid little report every time it won't fax. Throwing it IN THE TRASH and buying a different brand!!!Digital camera Review: Better printers out there

The product is terrific....faster and quieter than my previous 3 HP's--2200, 7350,and 5600. However, since I've added the software to my computer, I can't 1) get the printer to be my default printer (the default feature reverts to the 2200) and 2) be assured that my computer will hybernate when I want it to shut down but not turn off (using XP). My conversations (very long ones) with HP have failed to fix the first problem and I hesitate to spend the hours that might be necessary to talk to HP about the second problem.Digital camera Review: Big Paperweight

I won't ever be purchasing another HP Printer. This printer is SLOW at scanning. SLOW at copying. It takes about 1 minute to make 1 copy. - And im not kidding.
The paper tray is a joke.
The Software disk provided wouldn't even load on 2 different networked machines. The Downloaded drivers CRASHED both systems. When you strip out all the bloatware to just use the driver - it causes constant instability with the network and the PC's when booting, constantly giving DLL errors with the driver pack.
I sent it back.
And Remember.... you only have 30 days to return it, after that, HP has to service it IF...they deem it has an issue.

HP Officejet 6310 All-in-One Printer/Fax/Scanner/Copier (Q8061A#ABA)
Swore by HP printers for years. Never had a problem until I bought this Officejet 6310 two years ago. It worked for six months and now won't do anything but flash "reset power."
Called HP product support and e-mailed several times. They are clueless as to what is causing the problem and how to fix it. Can't understand that since Googling "Officejet 6310" uncovers scores of customers with the same problem.
Also had an HP Photosmart 8000 die after six months. That's the last HP printer I'll buy.
