1. Very sensitive about the paper feed. I was constantly readjusting the paper in the feed to make sure it went through...usually fed a few pages at a time. 2. Communication problems with my PC.
3. Lots of paper jams.
4. One day, a little tiny sprocket thing fell off onto the paper I was printing. I have no idea where it came from, but the printer now only prints one page correctly and then the rest of the pages are screwed up.

Great product. It was purchased used but the seller included everything I would have received purchasing it new which I didn't really expect.
Product itself works well. I bought it because my wife has one also. It works well and I am pleased with both the printer and the seller. Good buy!!

This printer's software and user interface are terrible. Trying to do a simple thing like scan a black & white document takes a huge amount of time. Printing from the network via Windows Vista is a nightmare.
The amount of software installed is absolutely huge - do you want 8 programs to manage 1 printer\fax\scanner? That's what you get - including some lame photo software too. It takes over your computer.
Would never recommend this. I'll be buying a different printer since it's too late to return this one and I don't have the time to spend trying to use it for simple tasks. The only thing that's reasonably easy is printing (but not from the network and not from Windows Vista!).

hp Officejet 6310xi. This is our third hp printer. Our first, a 550c was still working for the person we gave it to a year ago. We purchased the 6310 because it was an all in one, and took up less space than a printer and scanner. Should have kept the scanner. This will copy and print from the scan stage, but will not scan and print from the scan stage. When it was scanning properly, made wonderful copies of photos. What to buy next??
