Digital camera Review: Difficult set-up/HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE
Summary: 1 Stars

This printer is a pain to set-up wirelessly. I could not get it to integrate with my laptop (an HP, too!) and when I called customer service, I was connected to "Sajal" in India. He took control of my computer to try and find the issue and promptly changed my wireless router settings. He told me to restart the computer and it wouldn't go back online. I asked him to fix it, and he said "I have not done anything, you will have to call your router company." Needless to say, I have spent countless hours trying to fix the issue with no help from HP.

The printer itself seems cheap and it is not very sturdy. I loved my old Canon Pixma and should have gotten another one of those. The print quality of this printer is less than the Canon Pixma and the cartridges seem to run out very quickly.

This printer is available at local office chain stores. I recommend you got look at it there before buying online.

Next time, I definitely won't buy an HP and I will probably look for a bluetooth system rather than wireless to avoid the router issues.

Digital camera Review: Disappointed....
Summary: 3 Stars

Top reasons why not to purchase:

1. Customer service is awful. I, like others, spent numerous hours on a variety of topics only for HP to screw up my computer. Had to spend a lot of money to repair what they had me do to fix the problems only for them to create new problems and not fix original issues!
2. Cheap plastic. Within weeks, the plastic piece that you move to adjust for paper size broke. The paper tray sounds as though it will break each time you move up or down.
3. The wireless was awful to install. Called my computer guy, but after an hour at $100/hr, I said forget. I don't use it wireless-ly.
4. Does not feed different sized paper very well for pictures. May have to do with #2 reason, but even when hand fed, no deal.
5. Stinks with Vista.
6. Did I say customer service was awful????

For these reasons, I do not use it to half its potential...could have saved myself a ton of money.

Digital camera Review: Dissapointing
Summary: 1 Stars

If you are a technology whiz and like to be on hold waiting for someone at Tech-support to help you, you might be able to get this printer/scanner to work for you. As for the rest of us...keep looking. The scan function scans simple text documents in a way that makes them much too large to be able to send by email. Scanning documents to send via email is why I bought it. Back to Staples it goes.....I was expecting more from HP. So sad. By the way, HP, a real user manual would have been helpful too.

Digital camera Review: Do not buy this product
Summary: 1 Stars

There's not a single part of this product that I'm satisfied with. Installation was very difficult but I did finally get it working on my wireless network. Now the printer keeps disappearing from the network and the HP Solution Center (Problem Center would be more appropriate) seemingly makes things worse. Scan speeds are so slow with wireless that I have ended up hard wire connecting to one PC. Print quality is fair but not great (doesn't match my Pixma). Reliability of the system is horrible. I have had to reinstall three times.
This is the first product I've bought recently where I hurried and didn't read all the reviews. There is not one aspect of this product that I feel good about - online support from HP created issues and didn't solve one.
I won't be buying anything from HP again on the basis of this experience

Digital camera Review: Does not work with Vista
Summary: 1 Stars

The software for this printer is junk and will screw your system up if you install on Vista. I lost all my personal files and settings, also uninstalled programs like Microsoft Office and my games trying to uninstall. After I installed and tried to get it to work. I seen online that it was not compatible with Vista and Internet Explore 8. I have used HP printers for about 7 years and this was my 3 printer. After 3 days of trying to get it to work I took it back. Please take my advice do not install with Vista and Internet Explore 8.
