I thought it wasn't going to be as good as the original cartridge, since when I bought the first one from the manufacturer it was so much more expensive, so when I saw the picture of this one on Amazon, I thought to myself: "Oh well, what the heck". so I went for it. First of all, I was so surprise by the little time it took to get here, and second, I compared it to the original, it was a perfect match in EVERY way. and 20% more affordable than the original. About 1/4 the cost of a new toner cartridge, and seems to work just as well. Last time I bought a used cartridge (from a different company) the annoying computer chip tacked to the cartridge caused me difficulties after a period of time. Concerning the item, it came as promised and was fine.
This review is concerning the pricing of the HP 49X by Amazon. I checked the price on a computer at work to verify that is what we needed. I then went to my computer and the price has increased. So I went back to the other computer and the lower price appeared. I signed out, I am a Prime Member, and the price dropped to show what I had seen earlier. Bottom line I still got an OK deal but Amazon plays with the pricing at times depending whether you are signed in as a Prime Member or not. Don't think this is being up front with customers. I could not find it anywhere in their Prime Member policies where they would charge you more for the product, thereby hiding shipping and building it into the product and then selling you the FREE 2nd DAY AIR Prime Member angle. Keep in mind, this has only happened on a few items but it does happen, which is a no-no.
Naughty naughty Jeff Bezos, this is not the philosophy that helped build Amazon.com. Tell us the truth, we can take it.
