Digital camera reviews of HP Wireless Elite Keyboard and Mouse

Digital camera Review: Great Keyboard
Summary: 5 Stars

Low profile, very comfortable, sleek design, and it's HP. Great product.A+

This is actually my second Elite purchase. One for the home, one for the office.

Digital camera Review: Great Keyboard - Crappy Mouse
Summary: 2 Stars

So I've been using this keyboard and mouse combo for about an hour. I just unpacked it and set it up.

Very easy setup - the Keyboard is great - sleek, stylish, compact, easy to type on and is well built.

The mouse is the polar opposite. Although comfortable in my large hands, it just screams CHEAP. Its buttons are very loud and just feel cheap. And now, literally, 1 hour into using it, the left mouse button is not clicking properly. I have to click down hard. Defective? Yes, maybe the others are not going to have this problem.

But i've been working with mice for 16 years.. and this one is one of the cheapest poorly made ones i've seen.

If you really like the keyboard, buy it separately and get a different mouse.

Final annoyance, the dongle receiver has the brightest blue led light that flashes with every keystroke/mouse movement. Annoying as heck.

Although i like the keyboard, this ones' going back. I'm going to go with the new logitech setups that use the same micro receiver for mouse/keyboard. And since i have two laptops, the extra reciever can be used to hook up both!

Digital camera Review: Great Keyboard, so so Mouse
Summary: 5 Stars

Phenomenal Keyboard. I was a little concerned after reading some of the reviews written regarding quality. I've had it for about a week and it seems pretty well built. A little heavier than I thought it was going to be, but still lighter and not nearly as big and cumbersome as my previous wireless keyboard. Very quiet while typing and with the spill resistant keys I can see no downside to this keyboard. I love the spill resistant feature; no real gaps between the keys to allow for dust and dirt collect. Yet even without the gaps the keys are still separated as much as a typical keyboard to allow for ease of use without having to get use to a different sized keyboard.

So-So Mouse. With this purchase I feel that the only negative aspect of the purchase as a whole would be the mouse. Although it is still a great mouse and looks very sleek, it is a little loud when being operated. The "click" seems a little louder than most. Other than that it is your typical mouse. Keep in mind that this mouse does not feature forward and back "side" buttons, solely a left and right click mouse. Had the browsing buttons been added I really wouldn't be able to say anything but good things about its operability.

If I had the ability to make this purchase all over again I would have probably just purchased the keyboard itself and then added a separate mouse. Amazon does have this keyboard for sale by itself for $24.99. HP Wireless Elite Keyboard
You can add a separate mouse to this order and potentially save some money.

Overall, Keyboard is a great buy, but find a different mouse.

Digital camera Review: Great Value
Summary: 5 Stars

We had been looking for a wireless package to use for streaming video since we dropped cable TV a couple of months ago, and couldn't find one (even for $100+) that didn't have pretty bad reviews. Then we saw this one for $65 on sale and it seems to work flawlessly.

The keyboard is quiet, thin and lightweight, and works nicely from your lap. The mouse is very sensitive and quick, and works on just about any surface. We have our laptop connected to our TV across the room and they are very responsive. The irritation of the the flashing blue light on the receiver can be reduced by plugging it into a USB port in the back - it doesn't have to be 'line of sight' to work.

The only problem I have is that mine didn't come with a user manual. The HP website says I should find a folder under Start > All Programs, but I could find one. It's a minor inconvenience considering they were so easy to install and that they work so well.

Digital camera Review: Great keyboard
Summary: 5 Stars

I really do like the keyboard for everyday use.
You feel like you just type something all the time.
I play games on this keyboard as well, it is great.
I use the mouse as remote control (Different mouse for gaming) when I was on the couch.
Long range ~~~~ from bedroom to kitchen.
Just don't recommend the mouse for daily use. the keyboard itself is best keyboard I ever used.
